Technical Specialist Summary
A Technical Support Specialist, or an IT Support Specialist, is responsible for assisting customers with technical issues or questions relating to computer hardware or software devices.
Technical Specialist Responsibilities Include:
- Handling customer technical support cases through phone and email submissions.
- Evaluating system potential through assessing the compatibility of new programs with existing programs
- Improving existing programs by evaluating objectives and specifications, reviewing proposed changes, and making recommendations.
Skills and Qualification Requirements Include:
College degree in computer science, network administration, or computer programming are typically preferred.
Additional training certificates in information technology infrastructure, network administration, and computer repair.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
