General Retail Merchandiser Summary
A Merchandiser, Retail Merchandiser, or Stocking Associate handles a store’s inventory levels and product displays. Their main duties include submitting warehouse inventory reports, clearing any unwanted products from displays, and monitoring the sales performances of products. Merchandisers service one location per day and rotate through store locations over a two-week schedule.
Retail Merchandiser Responsibilities Include:
- Display consumer products in a grocery setting according to planograms
- Perform aisle resets to update available merchandise
- Performs other tasks as assigned
Skills and Qualification Requirements Include:
Work independently and as a member of a team
Attention to detail while utilizing marketing schematics
Standing and walking 6-8 hours
Flexibility to travel between store locations
Reliable transportation is a must
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum age of 18 years old
